A True Thick Rug Pad

Thick felt jute rug pad for hard floorsWhat defines a thick rug pad? Well, a thick rug pad should be comfortable to walk on, sit on and play on.  A thick rug pad should also be dense enough to provide protection to the rug and the floor it is on from premature wear and damage. A thick rug pad should also reduce noise and insulate against cold floors.

Thick rug pads can be felt jute, felt and rubber and synthetic.  Perhaps one of the best thick rug pads that we have come across is one made of a recycled felt jute in a 40 ounce weight and is 3/8 of an inch thick. This thick rug pad seems to accomplish a lot.

One reason why we like this thick rug pad is because it does not contain any adhesives, glues or latex. For larger rugs or rugs with furniture on them, your thick rug pad does not have to be a non slip rug pad. Chances are your rug is not moving and a thick rug pad should be used to prolong the life of the rug, protect your floor and add comfort. This Superior thick rug pad seems to do all of this.

It is rare find to have a rug pad that does not contain rubber, latex, glues or adhesives and we under stand the reason it is such a hard rug pad to find is because it is only offered to stores in 12 foot rolls that are about 400 pounds. Stores generally only want to carry rug pads that they can stock in packages, already cut in various sizes. To find this thick felt rug pad you need to find a store that carries it in rolls and cuts it to your order.
